James Rohrbach Obituary
May 28, 1938 - September 6, 2024
James "Jim" H. Rohrbach passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024, in Carrollton, Ga., where he resided with his daughter Molly and her family. Born on May 28, 1938, in Moline, Ill., Jim's life was marked by his loving nature, kindness, and friendly demeanor, which endeared him to all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church in Moline on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11 a.m. Luncheon visitation will be at the church following the service from 12 to 2 p.m.
Jim's journey began as a proud resident of Moline, where he attended Moline High School. He furthered his education at Augustana College, where he cultivated lasting friendships and met his beloved wife, Eloise "Elly," who predeceased him in 2021.
Professionally, Jim's career was a testament to his work ethic and dedication. He spent 28 years at DeLeon Thompson & Assoc., retiring in 2000.
Together, Jim and Elly built a beautiful life, marked by the joy of raising their three children, Susan (Jeff) Fordham, Michael (Jill) Rohrbach, and Molly (Todd) Haney; grandchildren, Nathan, Collin, Lauren, Thomas, James, Morgan, Sarah; and great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Barrett.
Jim will be missed by his family and many friends, but the memories he created will be treasured forever. As we say goodbye, we take solace in knowing that Jim's legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate through generations.
