Janice I. Anderson

October 2, 1946 - January 26, 2026

Janice I. Anderson, 79, of Moline, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church or to the Benedictine Sisters of St Mary's Monastery, Rock Island. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, is assisting the family with services.

Janice was born on October 2, 1946, in Bismark, N.D., the daughter of Bartholomew and Bernice (Patzner) Fitzgerald. Janice married Harold Anderson on July 17, 1976, in Coal Valley, Ill., he preceded her in passing. She worked at John Deere Administration Building as a payroll analyst, retiring in 2007 after 30 years. Janice was an active and faithful member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline.

Janice is survived by her brother, Douglas (Geri) Fitzgerald; sister, Carol Forsyth; stepchildren, Merri (Doug) Bush and Kelly (Dallas) Anderson; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and stepson, Kenny Anderson.
