Janis M. Moore, 84, of Cambridge, died Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Cambridge Lutheran Church. Pastor Matt Kamprath will officiate. Inurnment will be at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to Janis Moore Memorial Fund.
Janis Marie Humphrey was born June 15, 1940, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Clarence L. and Ruth H. (Franzen) Humphrey. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1958. She married Lavern A. Moore on June 1, 1958, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion IL. He survives.
Janis and Lavern moved to Hawaii during Lavern's service in the US Army. They returned to Cambridge and Janis worked for the County Zoning, County Circuit Clerk, and Cambridge High School. Janis enjoyed playing bridge, water fitness, traveling, her flowers, and her family.
Survivors include her husband, Lavern; daughters: Lisa (Ken) Allison, and Susan (Kenny) Beam, both of Cambridge; grandchildren: Nikole (Kyle) Cooper, Cambridge, Bradley (Veronica) Beam, Geneseo, and Amanda (Dustin) Johnson, Milton, FL; and great-grandchildren: Lylah, Landyn, Lawsyn, Braeden, McKenna, Eve, Abram, and another one on the way. Other survivors include a sister, Ruth Ann Newman, Orion; and a brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Pamela Humphrey, Cambridge. Her parents; and an infant granddaughter, Megan Anne Allison preceded her in death.

Hello Vernie Jack and I were sad for you to hear about your loss of your beautiful Janice. May Jesus comfort you as you learn to live without the physical presence of Janice and yet be warmed and comforted by your memories of her and your life together.
