Jeffrey Grubaugh Obituary

Jeffrey Allen Grubaugh

May 28, 1976-March 11, 2022

OAK FOREST-Jeffrey Allen Grubaugh, 45, of Oak Forest, IL, died Friday, March 11, 2022, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 1pm Friday at First United Methodist Church, Oaklawn, IL, with a visitation one hour prior and 3 pm Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, with a visitation starting at 1pm.

Jeff was born May 28, 1976, in Kewanee, IL, the son of James "Jim" and Delores (Bennett) Grubaugh. He married Kathleen "Kate" McNamara, they later divorced. He worked for UPS and later FedEX. Jeff was a very caring and giving person, whether giving you his BS or his friendship. It was always 100%. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Nora, who was the light of his life. Jeff loved to fly. He actually studied aviation and dreamed about being a commercial pilot. In his younger years, he lived to ski Jackson Hole Wyoming.

Survivors include his daughter, Nora Grubaugh, Oak Lawn, IL; parents, Jim and Delores Grubaugh, East Moline; stepson, Brendan McNamara; sister, Jennifer Freymann, Moline; nieces, Jeren and Abbi Freymann and Alyssa Lear.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorials may be made to Northwestern Memorial Hospital Oncology Department.

Jeff, you can now ski the highest mountains, fly the fastest planes and watch over your precious daughter.

REST EASY PUDGE, WE LOVE YOU.

Thank you for being in our life.

To Jim Delores and family;

Jeffrey´s smile would light up any room! I Remember when he was so young and in Naples with the Grubaugh family for a reunion and how much fun everybody had especially playing pranks on Jeff! He was a wonderful son, father, and family member of the Grubaugh family who will be dearly missed. The glow in our hearts will be filled and remain bright for Jeff...and one day... we will all be joined together for the best Grubaugh family reunion ever! May you rest in peace Jeffrey and may the fond memories of your short time on earth help your mom and dad`s hearts with the deep pain of their loss. I know that pain will travel with them forever until they see you again. Love to all the family, Lanette Keller
