John Dellos Obituary

John N. Dellos, 86, of Bedford, died on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Homewood at Spring House Estates surrounded by his family. He was born on May 27, 1938, in Moline, Ill., a son of the late Nickolos and Maria (Drivas) Dellos. On September 30, 1956, in Moline, Ill., he married Patricia (Schultz) Dellos who survives along with the following family: one son, Steven August Dellos and wife Lexanne of Summerville, S.C.; one daughter, Rebecca Ann Dellos of Everett; Six grandchildren: Sasha Howsare and husband William, Ian Harris, Jason Harris, Brandon Dellos and wife Rachel, Ryan Dellos and partner Jaimi, Lauren (Dellos) Hale and husband Curtis; Nine great-grandchildren: Reed Wood, McKenzie Hernandez and husband Robert, Holden Harris, Alexia, Jack, and Lucy Hale, Tanner Smutylo, and Anna and Ellie Dellos; and one great-great-granddaughter Ophelia Hernandez; and one brother Spiro Dellos and wife Dawn of Iowa City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by one son, John Nicholas Dellos and his wife Melissa and one brother George Dellos and wife Kay who survives of Iowa Cita, Iowa.
John worked at Hedstrom but prior to coming to Bedford he worked at various companies that included John Deere, Komatsu-Dresser Co., and P&H Cranes. Along with his wife they owned and ran the Bread Basket Café. John enjoyed family, golfing, being the family mechanic, gardening and watching pro football games, and any of the war movies that had actual footage.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Homewood at Spring House Estate Café with Stanley A. Howes officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at Homewood at Spring House Estates. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution's in John's name can be made to Bedford United Way of County, 119 East Penn Street, Bedford, PA 15522, or Raystown Ambulance, 4 East South Street, Everett, PA 15537.
