May GOD bless your entire family in this time of grief and sorrow. It's a difficult time but rely on happy memories of his life to help move on.

John was one of the most popular and respected members of the BHC Law Enforcement faculty. His students loved him and his colleagues enjoyed his input, attitude and expertise. Police agencies throughout the mid west are still being served by professionals educated by Professor Gulley. Many peace officers learned their most valuable lesson from his podium. "Never surrender the moral high ground." The police profession was enhanced by his presence and is diminished by his passing. It was an honor to serve with him, teach with him, and enjoy his humor and blistering common sense. He was the cop many of us aspired to be. Rest peacefully brother. Your watch has ended. Your contribution will last forever.
