WOW, I had no idea that John had passed.
I´ve got to say that he was one amazing person. My family has always had Van Hoes for all the funerals in our family and he always made sure everything was perfect.
John was also such a fun guy, so easy to talk to and just had a way of taking that sting away when you loose someone you love.
I´m sure the whole family is realing with the loss of their beloved Husband, Father,Grandfather and Uncle. I know our family will greatly miss him as well.
Many prayers of comfort and peace in the days to come.

My heart aches for Carole and his family. John was one of kindest, compassionate, family oriented man I have ever met. When my brother Jim passed, he went above and beyond for my daughter. I will be forever thankful for the kindness, understanding and patience he showed her John, you will be missef.

The Nguyn Family

September 22, 2024

John, his family, the Ahern family plus many other families along with Father Dunn and Father Logan of the St. Mary´s Catholic Church in East Moline sponsored our family from a refugee camp in California to settle in East Moline in 1975, after the Vietnam War. They helped us in term of shelter, food, clothing and many other aspects of life in a new country. For that we are forever grateful! We remain friends ever since.

John, when you see Sue and John Ahern in heaven, tell them we say "Hello!" However, we are not in any hurry to join all of you yet!

Rest in Place
