Judith "Judy" F. Florian, 82, of Rock Island, Ill., passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, at Unity Point Hospital, Bettendorf, Iowa surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, June 27, 2025, at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, Moline. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Private Inurnment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials can be made to Rescued, Silvis in support of animal welfare.

Judy was born September 30, 1942, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to David and Faye (Ray) McCLain. Judy was a 1960 graduate of United Township High School, East Moline, and was a Nurse, graduating from Black Hawk College School of Nursing in 1970. She spent most of her 40-plus year nursing career at Illini Hospital in Silvis.

After retirement, she worked part time as a corporate nurse for John Deere to fund her true passion, traveling. Judy traveled the world, visiting numerous continents and countries. She was always up for fun and adventure, snow skiing into her 70's.

Judy married Bob Gillman in 1961 and they had two sons, Chris and Rob Gillman. She later married Tom Florian in 2000. Tom predeceased her in 2011. She found love again later in life with Jimmy Allen, spending time at car shows and dancing away the winters with friends and family in Texas. Judy was a great listener and instilled in her sons and family a sense of adventure, kindness, empathy and work ethic. She was proud of her grandchildren, always keeping up with what they were doing, and was the best mother-in-law and friend.

Judy is survived and will be greatly missed by her sons, Chris (Barb) Gillman of Swansboro, N.C. and Rob (Brenda) Gillman of Bettendorf, Iowa; five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her beloved Jimmy.
