February 27, 1940 - April 29, 2025
Judy F. Pullman, 85, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Allure of Geneseo, Ill. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel, with Pastor Barry WynVeen officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo, Ill. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Henry County Humane Society – Geneseo or the First Presbyterian Church – Geneseo.
Judy was born on February 27, 1940, the daughter of Maurice and Phyllis (McHenry) Lewis, in Geneseo, Ill. She graduated from Geneseo High School in 1958, and went on to complete nine months of personnel training in Omaha, Neb. Judy married Don Plumley on November 29, 1959. He preceded her in 1978. She later married Mac Pullman on June 23, 1983. He preceded her in 2013. Judy was employed as a secretary for Farm Services at the Rock Island Arsenal Corp of Engineers. She also worked at the Moline YMCA and then Hutchinson Farm Management for over 30 years before retiring. Judy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon. She enjoyed spending her time on the farm, going to breakfast with the Cornwall group of ladies, watching TV, going for a good piece of pie, and especially watching the birds and squirrels out her window.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Duane (Laura) Plumley and Janeen (Jamie) Brady; grandson, Jacob Brady; step-granddaughter, Bridget (John) Johnson and their son, Jordan Johnson; sister, Barbara Rahn; stepson, Rod Pullman; stepdaughters, Margo Pullman and Catherine Pullman; and step-grandchildren, Delaney Blatchly, Camden Blaychly, Aaron Pullman, Colin Pullman, Ethan Pullman, Olivia Wilson, Beau Wilson, and Adel Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Phyllis Lewis; husbands, Don Plumley and Mac Pullman; brothers, Bob Lewis and Royce Lewis; sister, Roberta Reiling; brothers-in-law, Rodney Reiling and Kenny Rahn.
