Maryellen was one of my besties! Met her at the former Sacred Heart House of Prayer in Rock Island, Illinois. She loved God and smiled greatly when talking about all her friends who journeyed with her in her faith.
We were friends on Retreats, trips to Hawaii, Florida, Washington Island, Wisconsin, and season members at Circa 21 for 2 decades. Sharing stories of children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren was always a delight. Peace and no more pain to you my friend Dear ME . Love you GOTCHA Margie

We were shocked to hear about Maryellen's passing. We had just talked to her recently and she seemed to be doing well. She was an amazing woman! Maryellen had many talents and was quite an adventurer! We prayed, sang and laughed together throughout our years in Cursillo and stayed with her in Florida a couple times and went on a Caribbean Cruise with her. Our years of friendship will never be forgotten! Deacon Terry & Becky Starns

I will always cherish the conversations Mary Ellen and I had as we drove to and from the Hill Correctional Center for our Cursillo events.
