Ge is my dearest friend. I lost contact with Mike and have been searching for him on occasion over the years. That's how I came upon this.
I was going through a terrible divorce and was severely depressed. I had moved from Moline area to Chicago. I felt totally alone and was suicidal. Mike came to visit and find out by they way that I expressed goodbye that I was not ok.
His response was to immediately leave his life behind and to move in with me in Chicago. He stayed with me for over a year. HE SAVED MY LIFE!
A few years later he stood up with me in my wedding, as I married my love of 37 years and counting.
I have looked for him and only found this because of his death.
I was with him when he created the pallet pony. I still have a picture of ther first ones that he made that I would like to get to his family. I have an original, never worn, "California land of fruit and nuts" T-shirt that I would like to get to his family.
I live a Mike...I still do. His family call me at 321-279-3693.

Mike is a good friend of mine and he introduced me to the Homeless Ministry here in San Diego. There was a lot of fruit from that ministry in my life and others lives as well. He is really a great Guy and I miss him a lot. Just know that he is now up in Heaven enjoying Jesus presence.

I never heard him say anything bad about anybody or anything. Always had a smile on his face. The last time I saw him was I getting my hair cut in Moline.
