"I can fix most anything but a broken heart", Mike used to say when he worked at the Water Works. He was an excellent mechanic, versatile, and very intelligent. Mike worked on countless water main breaks in the dead of water. He later became a treatment plant operator who worked tough shifts and holidays ensuring the people of Moline had good water. We worked together at the Water Works for more than 25 years and he became a good friend. We shared many adventures hiking and bike riding back in the day. I loved his unique sense of humor. He taught me a lot and introduced me to a lot of great music. I am grateful to have known Mike and extend my sincere sympathies to all his family and friends. I pray that Mike´s spirit may know peace.

Mike, my dad Jeffery Farrell and I (Addison Farrell) use to ride our bikes to the John Deere Mansions together on summer evenings, Mike and my dad shared hobbies like fish keeping and outdoor adventures. Mike always had the neatest fish in the living room fish tank, he really loved his dog Myrtle. My mom (Vicki Farrell) always waited around the land line at 4pm to pick up our call from Mikey. Our family will really miss Michael McRoberts, we've spent many holidays together, many years being we've been blessed to have the best friend someone could have.
