Muriel S. Weber, 92, of Geneseo, IL passed away on Thursday, August 1st, 2024, at Hammond Henry Hospital Long Term Care.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Loraine Methodist Church-Prophetstown with Rev. Rod Dye officiating. Memorial visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. before the service at the church. Burial will follow at Loraine Cemetery-Prophetstown. Memorials may be directed to Loraine Methodist Church. Muriel was born on February 22, 1932, to Charles and Olive (Jackway) Schlosser. She received her Bachelors in Institutional Management from Iowa State University. She married the love of her life, Eldon Weber, on June 12, 1953, in Ames, IA, and together, they had 4 children. He preceded her in death. She was the proud co-owner and manager of Weber Tree Farms in Geneseo, IL. Muriel was also a member of; the Henry County Board for 20 years, Henry County Fair Board, Henry County Farm Bureau for Women, and the Loraine 4-H club. Muriel was a tour director for the National Christmas Tree Association which she traveled internationally for. She was also the president of the Henry Country Republican Women.
Muriel is survived by her son, Scott (Jodie) Weber of Geneseo, IL; daughters Lynn (Jim) Stemmler of New Douglas, IL, Renee (Al) Weber-Hunter of Evanston, IL, and Sue (Stan) Janusz of Willmette, IL; grandchildren, Kayla, Alexis and Isabella Weber; Christian, Adam, and Julianna Hunter; Olivia (Josh) Janusz Martin, Derek Janusz, Laura (Andrew) Meyer, Kathleen Stemmler; and great-grandchildren; Lucy and Michael Meyer and Austin Weber.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Olive Schlosser, and her loving husband, Eldon Weber.
The family would like to thank the Hammond Henry Long Term Care nurses and staff for all the loving care given to Muriel.
