Nancy A. Gowey, 92, of Milan, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025, at Clarissa Cook Hospice, Bettendorf.

A service to celebrate her life will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m., to service time at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Nancy was born on May 30, 1933, in Rock Island, the daughter of Roy and Clara (Bloomquist) Coyne. She was a graduate of Sherrard High School.

She married Arthur "Fritz" Gowey on August 8, 1953, in Rock Island. They were married for over 65 years until Arthur passed in 2018.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, sewing, and reading.

Survivors include her children, Jeff (Cathy) Gowey, Steve (Julie) Gowey, and Linda (Doug) McKay; grandchildren, Brandon (Hiliary), Nathan (Sarah), Christopher (Laura), Chance; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur; parents, Roy and Clara Coyne; and brother, Larry Coyne.
