DEWITT-Phillip A. "Phil" Mask, 65, of DeWitt, IA, formerly of Erie, IL, died Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme St., Davenport, IA. Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Gibson – Bode Funeral Home, Erie, followed by Memorial Services at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Erie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Phil was born January 4, 1958 in Black Hawk County, Iowa, the son of William and Mary Catherine (Cavanaugh) Mask. He grew up in Erie and married Tina Shipman in 1992. Together they had two sons, Brennin and Danniel. Phil was an electrician for the IBEW Local 145.

He was an outdoorsman to the core and loved wildlife. Phil was an avid boater and fisherman. He was an excellent outboard boat motor mechanic and enjoyed working on boats and cars. He especially loved his Corvette. Phil was an audiophile, classic rock was his favorite.

He is survived by his sons, Brennin "BJ" Mask (Brittany Bergstrom), Coal Valley, IL, Danniel Mask (Joe Zajicek), Fulton, IL; step son, Matt Marshall; granddaughter, Laykin Grace Mask; brothers, Paul (Diana) Mask, Galena, IL, John Mask, Erie; and former wife, Tina Wilkey.
