COAL VALLEY-Funeral services for Reginald "Reggie" Dunbar Jr., 98, of Coal Valley, IL, will be 11 am Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 10am until service time Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Dunbar passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022, at UnityPoint, Rock Island, IL.
Reggie was born August 24, 1923 in East Moline, the son of Reginald and Pearl (Couert) Dunbar Sr. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII. He married Barbara Douglas May 4, 1968, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona, IL. She passed away December 19, 2017. He was a union electrician, retiring from Ericson Construction in Moline in 1981 after 22 years of service.
Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Susan Wyant, Moline; granddaughters, Andrea (Charles) Hanson, Lincoln, NE, and Melanie Rice (Eric Bradley) Rock Island; great grandchildren, Alex (Kim), Noah, Olivia, Cassidy, and Sophia; great great grandson, Adam; and special friends, Dave (Christine) DeKezel, Cambridge, IL.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Dwain Wyant; and his sister.
Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans.

Sorry for your loss, lots of fun memories when we were younger, the cookouts, fun games, and boat rides by the water at Aunt Pearl's and Uncle Reggie's.
