ALBANY - Ronald Charles Sieberg, 85, formerly of Albany, IL, and Sun City, AZ; passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023.
Ron was born April 7, 1938 in Mankato, MN, the son of Charles and Frances Sieberg. He married JoAnn Guyer on September 12, 1959, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Madelia, MN. Ron loved football and home renovation projects. He was always telling jokes and enjoying coffee with the guys. He was an active member of Knights of Columbus. He loved spending time with family. Ron retired from Local 150 as a crane operator after 50 years of service.
He is survived by his son, Troy Sieberg (Carrie), Erie, IL; daughter, Tami Sieberg Williams (Chris), Sun City, AZ; grandson, Nicholas Sieberg, Lakeville, MN; granddaughter, Megan Sieberg, Elgin, IL; great-grandchildren: Landen and Madelyn Sieberg, and Greyson Smolinski; sisters: Jean Zahler, New Richmond, WI, Audrey Cain, Grand Marquis MN; brother, Lowell Sieberg, North Mankato, MN.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Sieberg; his son, Tracy Sieberg; father, Joseph Sieberg; mother, Frances Van Buren; siblings: Robert Sieberg, Willard Sieberg, Frankie Sieberg, Rosanne Reinhart (Ron's Twin), and Mary Braam.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Ron's life and bid him farewell at McDonald Funeral Home, 1601 16th Ave., Fulton, IL, 61252, on Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Route 84 in Albany, IL. Burial will follow at Lusk Memorial Cemetery.
A memorial has been created in honor of Ronald Sieberg to Albany Knights of Columbus organization.
