Sara Jane Ott
May 16, 1960 - October 13, 2023
Sara Jane Ott, 63, of Reynolds, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to the family.
Sara was born on May 16, 1960, in Sparta, IL, the daughter of James and Patsy (Lindsay) Glenn. She graduated from Aledo High Schol. She was married on June 18, 1978. Sara loved working at Morrison's Market and for Picture People. She thrived managing the photo studios and built long lasting relationships. Her employer and coworkers respected and loved her. Sara's real joy in life were her children, grandchildren, and her whole family. She loved every second watching her kids in sports and all their school activities. Sara loved being a room mother and attending school parties. When her grandchildren came along she was in her element. She enjoyed watching them grow and excel at all they did.
Sara's passing is leaving a hole that never can be filled until we all meet again in Heaven. She had a strong faith in Jesus and she loved sharing that most recently with her grandchildren.
Sara's memory will be cherished by her family; sons, Robert (Nicki), Leadville, CO, James Ott, Aledo, and Joseph Ott, Aledo; daughter, Samantha (Jeremy) Lake, Reynolds; grandchildren: Evan, Keira, Madison, Jemma, Ben, Brady, Jacob, Auggie, Cam, and Oliver; brothers, Bill and Tom; sister, Susie; sister-in-law, Lori, and brother-in-law, Rick. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, David and Jerry.
