Sharon Studer Obituary
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025, at Mel McKay Park, 9009 Ridgewood Road, Rock Island, Illinois. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, is assisting Sharon's family with arrangements.
Sharon was born on September 5, 1940, in Spring Valley, Illinois, a daughter of Carl and Helen (Frizzell) Hild. She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1958. Sharon married Dwaine R. Studer on March 23, 1958, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death in 1996. Sharon owned her own house cleaning business for nearly 20 years.
Sharon was a member of the former Faith Evangelical Free Church. She enjoyed watching golf and football, playing scrabble, watching Wheel of Fortune, and cooking. Above all, Sharon loved spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish Sharon's memory include her children, Michael (Pat) Studer, Joseph (Linda) Studer, and Julie (Ronald) Reid; grandchildren, Franco Bernal, Krista (Aaron) Peters, Andrew Studer, Leah Mosley-Studer, Breanna Scherler, Matthew Atkins, Madison (John) Enyeart, and Joseph Studer; great-grandchildren, Joey, Eli, Lily, Lyra, Ciara, Noah, Max, Violet, and Aurora; and sister, Felice (Gerry) Mitchell.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Jerry, Howard, and Ralph Hild; son, Steven Studer; and step-grandson, Justin Reid.
