Susan Leatherman Obituary

Susan C. Leatherman (Peterson/Biehl), age 86, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026 in Boise, Idaho, surrounded by her two daughters, Christine and Beth. Born on April 13,1939 in Rock Island, Ill., she lived a life marked by kindness and devotion to family and friends.

Sue started her nursing career in Colorado, and became an award winning medical rep for Hill-Rom in California. She retired and relocated to the Sun Valley, Idaho, area to be an involved grandmother which brought her great joy. After her final move back to the Quad-Cities she met and married the love of her life, Bill Leatherman.

Sue loved her time with friends and neighbors. She enjoyed golf, book club, her majong group, and exercise classes.

She was preceded in death by Bill Leatherman (spouse) Harry and Carol Biehl (parents), and Harry (Pete) Biehl (brother). She is survived by Tom Biehl (brother); daughters, Christine and Beth Peterson; grandchildren, Shelby and Aidan Green; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory forever.

She will join her parents in her final resting place at Rose Lawn Cemetery later this summer.

Sue was a lovely and fun person. I knew her from Jazzercise and would see her at the Moline library. We will miss her and thought of her often. My prayers are with family and friends

Sue was a fun neighbor and mahjong pal. She loved walking her little dog "Boss" and brought the best baked beans to our neighborhood socials. I still think of her often. We will always miss her at mahjong. Chuck and I send sincere condolences to the family.
