Sylvia D Cunningham
July 18, 1932-July 5, 2022
Sylvia lived a life full of love and generosity. Those who were privileged to know her deeply felt the benefit of her wisdom, strength and kindness. Family was important to her and she will be sorely missed! She was employed with the Rock Island Arsenal until retirement.
She was blessed to spend her retirement years with her family in Chicago and leaves behind her son, William Hendley of Chicago; her daughter, Cathy Johnson and son-in-law Michael Johnson of California; and loving grandchildren, Kimberly Page Terrel Hendley, Stacey Anne Hendley, Adrian Hendley, Courtney Hendley, Brittany Johnson and Chelsea Johnson; and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren are in the ranks of her beautiful legacy.
She was preceded in death by husband, William Cunningham; sister, Beverly Rose; and parents, Beatrice and Carl Rose of Rock Island; siblings of the deceased are Marcia Wortham Irma Davis, Gilbert Rose and Wayne Rose.

So sad and sorry to hear about Sylvia. When I first started on the arsenal, Sylvia was my first supervisor and I really liked her. After leaving the office, we continue
I am sorry and sad to hear about Sylvia. My first job on the Arsenal was a second shift position with Sylvia as my supervisor. After I left the office we continued to stay in touch for several years at Christmas. To this day, I still play pick 3s! lol My prayers and thoughts are with the family.
