Willie Gray (Gosa) Reyes

January 29, 1927-January 15, 2022

Mrs. Willie Gray (Gosa) Reyes, age 94, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, two weeks shy of her 95th birthday. Willie was born in Beaverton, AL, on January 29, 1927, and was preceded in death by her parents Monroe Gosa, Minnie (Guyton) Gosa, son Ronald Barnes, brothers, Herman, Thurman, and Ray and sister Faye. Willie and her husband Angel Reyes have been together for more than 63 years. She leaves behind her husband Angel Reyes, brother, "Junior" Gosa, daughter, Sara Jones, grandchildren, Todd Jones, Michael Jones, Ronda Schiltz, Ronald Barnes and many great and great-great grandchildren.

Willie, was loved by all, and moved to the Quad Cities in 1957, after returning from Germany. She was a great cook and her door was always open. Her favorite dish was tostada's and when she made them everyone showed up. She always had a joke at hand to lighten any moment. Her presence will be missed by all that she touched in her life.

Services will be held at DeRoo funeral home, 1611 7th Street, Moline, IL 61265, on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at the Rock Island Arsenal. Condolences may be left for the family at https://www.deroofuneralhome.com.
