Herman Aragon Obituary

Services: At 7 p .m. today a rosary will be recited at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Tucumcari. At 10 a.m. Friday a mass of the resurrection will be celebrated at St. Anne's. Herman Aragon, 54, died Monday, July 2, 2007, in Albuquerque following an extended illness.   Mr. Aragon was born Aug. 19, 1952 in Tucumcari and was a lifetime resident of Tucumcari. He was a member of the St. Anne's Catholic Church. He had worked as a rancher in the Tucumcari and Garita areas for many years. Surviving Mr. Aragon are two daughters, Delida Curry of Tucumcari and Ramona (William) Martin of Arkansas, a son Manuel Martinez of Tucumcari, a sister, Corina (Seferino) Trujillo of Fountain, Colo., a brother, George (Angie) Aragon, Jr. of Albuquerque. Also surviving are his step mother. Anna Aragon of Tucumcari, grandchildren, Eric and Verna Sedillo, Yvonne, Manuel, Felicia, and Able Martinez, Jesica Martinez, Herman and Llois Chavez and Savanah Vigil and great-grandchildren, Simarien and Lavon Marshbanks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita, by his parents, a brother, a son and a brother in law. Leo Padget will officiate at the services. Pall bearers will be Manuel Palacio, Gilbert Telles, Benji Torres, Bobby Torres, Manuel Martinez, Bobby Naranjo, Jerry Trujillo and Willliam Martin. Burial will follow the services at the Garita Cemetery at Garita (about 60 mile north of Tucumcari on New Mexico State Highway 104). Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
