Matthew Joseph "Beaver" Dimas, 38, of Tucumcari, NM passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari, NM
Matthew was born on February 6, 1985, in Tucumcari, NM, the home of Billy John and Annette (Dimas) Gonzales. He attended Tucumcari Elementary School, Santa Rosa Middle School and graduated from Springer High School. Matthew married Bobbie Ann Lovato on March 8, 2008, in Tucumcari, NM.
Matthew worked for various restaurants prior to joining Magnum Welding and Construction where he was employed as an iron worker. In his spare time, he enjoyed gaming and spending time with his family and friends, especially his children.
Matthew is preceded in death by his grandfather: Joe Dimas, maternal great grandmother: Dora Medina, paternal grandparents: Ernest and Anona "Pat" Gonzales, and padrino: Dennis Hendren.
Matthew is survived by his wife: Bobbie Dimas of the family home in Tucumcari, children: Filimon Martinez, Joe Dimas, Maria Dimas, Anthony Dimas, Damion Dimas, Cuitlahuac Dimas, Bobby Dimas and Marisela Dimas all of Tucumcari, parents: Billy John and Annette Gonzales of Logan, sisters: Angelica Gonzales Rodgers (Klay) of Santa Rosa, Jerrica Gonzales and Jessica Gonzales both of Clovis, and Deidra Sena of Texas brothers: John Zamora, Richard Goke and Zane Reeves, maternal grandmother: Jenny Dimas of Tucumcari, paternal grandmother: Lola Welch of Tucumcari, aunts: Diana Mares of Clovis, Jennie Dimas of Tucumcari, Jennette Dimas of Pueblo, CO, Tammy Gonzales and Mischelle Sisneros both of Santa Rosa, uncles: Jerry Mares of Tucumcari, Leroy Newkirk of Colorado, Ernest Gonzales (Sharon) of Los Lunas, and Max Sisneros of Colonias. Also surviving Matthew are numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary followed by a Communion Service will be on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 beginning at 11AM at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tucumcari, NM, with Deacon Raphael Aragon officiating.
Burial will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park with Angelica Rodgers, Jerrica Gonzales, Jessica Gonzales, Jake Jimenez Jr., Max Jimenez Jr., Dennis Hendren Jr., Deidra Sena and Joey Segura serving as pallbearers.
