Mike C Montano Sr.

1924 - 2022

Mike C. Montano, 98, died November 3, 2022, in Colorado Springs Colorado. He was born June 8, 1924, in Canadian, New Mexico to Eugenia (Aragon) and Ignacio Montano.
He served our country during WWII and fought in the "Battle of the Bulge". He was honorably discharged in 1945. Mike enjoyed music and dancing.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Herman and Pat Montano; daughter, Fadie Montano; grandson, Robert Anthony Montano and wife, Margret Burt Montano.
He is survived by his former wife, Pauline along with their five sons and their wives, Michael & Veloy, Ruben & Shirley, Robert & Martha, Richard & Melissa and Charlie & Patty. He is also survived by his sister, Viola Prieto; brother, Joe (Che) Montano; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Thursday November 10, 2022, in the St. Anne's Catholic Church beginning at 11:00 AM with interment in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Pall bearers are Victor Montano, Alex Montano, Gabriel Montano, Patrick Montano, Joe Ray Montano and Peter Prieto .
