Andrea A. "Nini" Kanakares
December 8, 1960-April 4, 2021
DAVENPORT-Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Andrea A. "Nini" Kanakares, 60, a resident of Davenport, will be 11:30a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport. Her family will greet friends Saturday, beginning at 9:30a.m. prior to the funeral service. Honoring her wishes the rite of cremation has been accorded and inurnment will be in Davenport Memorial Park at a later date. Due to the pandemic, masks must be worn and social distancing maintained. Memorials may be made to the family. Nini passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.
Andrea Ann Lopez was born December 8, 1960 in Davenport, a daughter of Manuel and Maria (Garcia Cervantes) Lopez, Sr. She was very proud to be an activities assistant at Bettendorf Healthcare for over 20 years.
Those left to honor her memory include her children; Sarah Rohm and Isaiah (Tara) Rohm, and all of Davenport; her grandchildren; Gabriella, Adriana, Selena and Julian; her siblings; Bonita Miller, Robert Lopez, and Daniel (Alison Anderson) Lopez, all of Davenport and Mary Lopez, of Pennsylvania; as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Sue Martinson and a brother, Manuel Lopez, Jr. "Junior".
