Carolyn J. Bennett, 80, of Davenport, IA passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, at the Runge Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 11, at 10:00 a.m. in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. She will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in Carolyn's name to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.
Carolyn was born on August 17, 1941 in Davenport, IA, to Leroy and Dorothy (Mott) Lupton. On August 12, 1961, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Jon Dean Bennett. They enjoyed 27 years of marriage until his passing in 1988.
Carolyn was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her family more than anything else. She cherished spending time with them. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed supporting her kids at their sporting events as well. Her family was her world.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Todd Bennett and Kimberly Bennett; grandchildren, Sam Bennett and Maddie Bennett; cousin, Denise Morris; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Jon; and sisters, Darlene Jager and Judy Lupton.
