September 1, 1959 - June 7, 2025
Carolyn (Williams) Wilkinson, 65 of Davenport, passed Saturday, June 7, 2025, at University of Iowa Hospitals. Carolyn was born in Iowa City in 1959, the daughter of Adolph, Jr., and Ann Williams. Carolyn graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1978 and worked as a certified nursing assistant at Manor Care and in food service with Davenport Community Schools.
She was a member of Third Missionary Baptist Church where she worshiped and dedicated her life to the Lord under the pastorialship of Reverend Rogers Kirk. Carolyn devoted the last 23 years to caring for her siblings Adolph and Gloria, upon the passing of their Mother. She sacrificed so much , but asked for little in return. She loved to entertain Adolph and Gloria by taking them to community events and family gatherings. Her hobbies included cooking, shopping, spending time with family and traveling.
Carolyn is survived by her husband Kenny Wilkinson; sisters Kathy (Elder Eddie) Horton, and Gloria Williams, of Davenport. Brothers Adolph Williams III, Johnny (Angela) Clinton, of Davenport and Ricky (Tammy) Williams, of Racine, Wisconsin; and her Big Brother Big Sister mentee, Mia Bruty of Bettendorf. Carolyn also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and Sister friends Patricia Bogan and Caroline Johnson Laury. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Shirley Clinton and nephew Eddie Horton, Jr.
Memorials may be made to the family. To honor her memory a private celebration of life will be hosted by the family.
