BETTENDORF-Catherine F. Regan, 88, of Bettendorf, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at The Summit of Bettendorf.
Private family graveside services will be held at the Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Genesis Hospice or to the Humane Society of Scott County. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Catherine was born on June 19, 1934 in South Weymouth, Massachusetts, the daughter of John and Mary (Sullivan) Connor. On August 31, 1957, she was united in marriage to Richard W. Regan in South Weymouth. In her early years, she worked as a bank teller. After her children were born, she worked as a sales associate in the children's department at Petersen Harned Von Maur. Above all, Catherine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Those left to honor her memory are her daughters, Donna (Michael) Higgins of Bettendorf, Diane (John) Smith of Reynolds, Illinois, Karen (Vaughn) Werlein of Bettendorf, and Mary Cate Regan of Shorewood, Wisconsin; her sons, Paul (Shelley) Regan and Joseph (Amy DeVine) Regan, all of Bettendorf; three grandchildren, Steven (Sarah) Dunlop, Erin Higgins, and Shawn Werlein; two great-granddaughters that affectionately called her GGK, Della Rose and Emery Anne Dunlop; sister, Dorothy Rowe of Pembroke, Massachusetts; brother-in-law, Robert (Patricia) Regan of Scituate, Massachusetts; sister-in-law, Lorraine Regan of Billerica, Massachusetts; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and siblings, Mary Margaret Conathan, Alice Malone, Donald Connor, John Connor, and James Connor.
