Charlane C. Hansen, 93, of Blue Grass, IA passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025 at her home. Per her wishes, she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday November 15, 2025 with a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Blue Grass Presbyterian Church. Inurnment will take place at Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to Blue Grass Presbyterian Church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.
Charlane was born on September 24, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN to John and Hazel (Weisbard) Cook. She married Ralph "Bill" Cooper. He preceded her in death in 1970. She married Robert "Bob" L. Hansen, he preceded her in death in 2003. Charlane worked as an interior designer working many years at Knilans Furniture. Charlane was a member of the Blue Grass Presbyterian Church; she enjoyed gardening and playing bridge.
Survivors include her daughter, Anne (Mark) Fertitta of Cincinnati, OH; stepson, Robert (Annabelle) Hansen JR of Sydney, Australia; grandchildren, Megan (Zach) Mergenthal, Blake (MK) Fertitta, Chase Cooper; step grandchildren, Jim Hansen, Rob (Carolyn)Hansen; great grandchildren, Maren, Parker and Gage and siblings, Sally (Hal) and John (Bonnie) Cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, children, Mark Cooper and stepchildren, Margaret Hansen and Barbara Hansen.
