Christine Ann French
May 6, 1949 - April 10, 2024
Christine Ann French 74, passed away April 10, 2024, at Harmony Assisted Living, Davenport.
Visitation will be Monday April 15, 2024, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Halligan-McCabe-DeviDeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Graveside services will be April 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Rosehill Cemetery, Buffalo.
Christine was born May 6, 1949, in Rock Island, to Donald and Jane Stalf. She married Gary French and together raised four children. Chris worked various jobs and retired from the Davenport Community School District. Mom loved having her family together and used any occasion to throw a party. Chris and Gary enjoyed traveling and made lasting friendships and memories over the years. Their travels covered most of the US states including yearly trips to attend Marine Corps reunions, but her favorite place was Vegas, baby!
Her hobbies included slots, poker, blackjack and bingo. She enjoyed drinking margaritas and playing cards at the VFW. Mom knew how to have fun and wanted those around her to have a good time too. She was an avid shopper, a bit of a trouble maker and always made you laugh.
She leaves behind her loving family, friends, and her cat Ricardo, who hates everyone else. As much as she is missed, there is a sense of peace knowing that now she is pain and worry free and that she gets to be with Stacie.
Those left to honor in her memory are husband, Gary French of Davenport; brother, Steve (Linda) Stalf of Rock Island; son, Jerry (Heide) French of Mesa AZ; daughters: Jodie French and Haylie French, both of Davenport; grandchildren: Kayla French, Josie (Nick) French, Addison French and Jase Watts; and great-grandchildren: Lennox, Carson, Brantley and Ayden.
She is proceeded in death by daughters: Stacie Lynn French and Carrie; sisters: Betsy Bousselot and Melissa Nerad; and her parents.
