Geneva passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Geneva Jorgensen was born on March 30, 1922, in Casey, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Isabelle (Christenson) Jorgensen. She married Virgil Benton of Guthrie Center, Iowa and later divorced. She then married Rollie Davis and upon his death she later married Rudy Drachenberg, who also preceded her in death.
Geneva loved keeping her hands busy. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, cooking, baking, painting, and her love of music held a special place in her heart. Geneva never met a stranger and loved being around people.
The past 17 years she lived in Davenport – 16 years at independent living at Heritage Court and 1 year in assisted living at Senior Star, both in Davenport. At both facilities she made many friends and always reached out to new residents to make them feel welcome and at home. Because of her warm, outgoing personality, she was adored by many and will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
She was a charter member of Eastern Star and a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Davenport.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children; Galen (Sherry) Benton of Worthington, Minnesota, Larry Benton of Wentzville, Missouri, and Linda (Steve) Helms of Bettendorf. Geneva has 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
