Joan (Leslie) Weeks of Bettendorf, Iowa died on May 2, 2024. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 5-7pm at the Runge Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8 at 10am in the mortuary chapel. She will be laid to rest with her husband Richard in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Joan was born on September 19, 1937 in Coldwater, Michigan to John and Alva (Curtland) Leslie. She married Richard Weeks on June 2, 1956 and they remained married until his passing in 2019. Joan was primarily a homemaker but she obtained her CAN certificate later in life. She enjoyed solving puzzles on Wheel of Fortune, baking and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Randy (Monica) Weeks of Pleasant Valley, IA, Jason (Melissa) Weeks of Bettendorf, IA, Colleen Hentze of Davenport, IA, Melody (Richard) McHugh of Moline, IL, Joy Regan of Advance, IN, Pamela Lile of Fort Collins, CO; brother, Ira (Deb) Leslie of Ashley, IN; sister Sally (Ken) Freed of Rome City, IN; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters Sue Smith and Jane Leslie; granddaughters Amy Moenck and Joann Weeks; son-in-law, David Hentze.
