ELDRIDGE-Funeral services for June E. Braack, 85, of Eldridge, will be 1:00 pm on Saturday at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge, IA. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Saturday from 11:00 am to service time at the funeral home.
June died peacefully, on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
Born on June 15, 1937 in Monticello, IA, June was the daughter of Chaney and Ruth (Bender) Burris. She was a 1955 graduate of Davenport High School. In 1958 she married Barry Braack. June worked at AT&T as a telephone operator and retired in 1998 after 30 years.
June was the oldest of 8 siblings; five brothers and two sisters. She loved cooking, going out to eat, doing all kinds and types of crafts, planting flowers in the summer, shopping, especially at Von Maur and spending time with friends, family and most of all her grandkids.
Those left to honor her memory include sons, Bryan Braack, Dean (Amy) Braack and David Braack, all of Eldridge; six grandchildren, Mitchell, Chase, Jordanne, Kennady, Keaton, Korbin and one great-grandchild Mia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers; Dick, Ron, and Craig and one grandson, Jacob.
June's family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Country Manor Memory Care and the staff at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.

June was my sister´s (Joyce Winegarden) best friend growing up on Boies Ave in Davenport. The Burris kids were all such nice kids. Edith was my best friend. She could always outrun me!! I´m so sorry for your loss of June, but know that her childhood friends still remember her.
