Karen Krambeck Obituary

Karen J. Krambeck

April 15, 1949-June 19, 2023

DAVENPORT-Karen J. Krambeck, 74, of rural Davenport, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 24th at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery, Davenport.

Karen was born on April 15, 1949 in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Harold and Willie (Champagne) Hill. On March 29, 1969, she was united in marriage to Donald E. Krambeck at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, Texas. Karen was an avid walker and participated in numerous races in the Quad City area, as well as with the Cornbelt Running Club. She was known for her "green thumb" and enjoyed her many plants and spending time in her flower and vegetable gardens. She was an exceptional cook and loved to can. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mom, and grandma.

Those left to honor her memory are her husband, Donald Krambeck of Davenport; daughters, Lisa Lockhart of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Stephanie Krambeck of Davenport; four grandchildren, Zachary Krambeck of Wheatland, Iowa, Alissia, Katrell, and Jaden Lockhart, all of Cedar Rapids; her sister, Debbie Hellberg and her husband, Wade, of Masaryktown, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Krambeck; and her siblings, Tommy Hill and Brenda Parrish.
