May 17, 1958 - January 12, 2025

Kent Bachus passed away peacefully in his home on January 12th, 2025 at the age of 66. He was born on May 17th, 1958 to Phyllis and the late Kenny Bachus. He grew up working on the family farm with his father by Wheatland, IA. He has two sisters, Kim Klahn and Kendra (Rick) Fitzgerald. He drove semi for Eagle Foods for many years, this is where he met Jill Peitscher. They were married on March 4th, 1994. They began their lives raising 2 children, Savanna (Austin) Coobs and Kendall (Brooke Gade). His granddaughter Kensley Bachus adored him. He continued farming with his son, and delivering feed for Rivery Valley Coop for the last 15 years.Family was very important to him, including his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Kent was lifelong friends with Mitch (Wanda) Kleinsmith.

Per his request there will not be a visitation or funeral. There will be a private family gathering at a later date.

Memorials can be sent to Wheatland, IA Fire or Ambulance, Dixon, IA Fire, Calamus Wheatland FFA Alumni, or sent directly to the family.

Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation & Direct Burial, Moline, IL.
