Nancy "Eloise" Bachus

Nancy Eloise Bachus, 89, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on February 7, 2026.

She was born on April 22, 1936, in Attalla, Alabama to the late Eugene Franklin Harris and Annie Mae Harris.

Throughout life, she enjoyed being in The Word and loved Jesus Christ. She enjoyed reading and being out in the country.

In addition to her parents, Eugene and Annie Mae Harris, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Marlen Bachus; siblings, Jean Netherton, Sue Cornelius, Doris Tomlinson, Jane Bachus, Robert Harris, and Richard Harris; daughter-in-law, Lori Bachus.

She is survived by Rene' (Mickey) Bowers, Denise (Alan) Larsen, Michael Bachus, and Christopher Bachus; grandchildren, Seth Bowers, Ethan (Daria) Bowers, Katie Vreeland, Jessica (Jonathan) Lickliter, Harris Looney, and Levi Bachus; great-grandchildren, Zoe Vreeland, Isabella LeCea, Erin LeCea, Jocelyn Lickliter, Declan Lickliter, Ailis Lickliter, Roc Lickliter, Emily Bowers, and Jacob Bowers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home of Benton.

A graveside committal service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (CST), on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Attalla, AL.

Her family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
