Michael Buesing Obituary
March 22, 1953 - July 9, 2025
Michael D. Buesing, 72, of Des Moines, Iowa, and formerly of Princeton, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at MercyOne in Des Moines.
His funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, July 14, 2025, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the services on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish in Michael's name.
Michael was born on March 22, 1953, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of David and Geraldine "Sue" (Hargreaves) Buesing. He was united in marriage to Linda J. Kirby on October 18, 1975, in Davenport.
Michael worked as an automotive electrician and had a passion for street rods, building a couple almost entirely from scratch. He was also a devoted fan of all things Disney and Star Wars, sharing that love with his family through countless memorable vacations to Disney World and Disneyland, starting with his honeymoon and continuing through many joyful trips with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda; his sons, Matthew (Crystal) of LeClaire, Iowa, and Steven of San Diego, Calif.; and his daughter, Tricia (Brandon) Sebben of Des Moines. Michael had four grandchildren whom he adored, Layla Buesing, Gabriel, Scarlett and Freya Sebben.
He is also survived by his brother, Jeff (Pam) Buesing of Davenport; his brothers-in-law, Paul (Sandi) Kirby of DeWitt, Iowa, and Kenn (Shirley) Kirby of Calmar, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
