April 2, 1957-January 5, 2020
DEWITT-Mike Daniels, 62, of DeWitt, Iowa, died Sunday evening, January 5, 2020, at Wheatland Manor following a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
Michal Clifford Daniels was born April 2, 1957, in Davenport to Richard and Lucy (Bishop) Daniels. He was a 1975 graduate of DeWitt High School. Mike farmed with his father and ran the farm following his father's death for several years. Mike then worked for Johnston Industries in DeWitt and lastly Evolution Power Tools, Davenport.
He enjoyed playing Frisbee Golf, Softball and Volleyball, riding motorcycle and mowing with his zero-turn mower.
Surviving are brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlie and Jordy Daniels of DeWitt and Paul and Rosalee Daniels of Camanche; nieces and nephews, Austin Daniels and Kayla (Cory) Cook, Devin (Melissa Morris) Daniels and Derek Daniels, Jennifer (Eric) Nissen and Jeremy (Kim) Geiger; great-nephews and great-nieces, Zachary Cook, Theodora Daniels, Hanna Nissen, Isaac Geiger and Madelyn Geiger.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The family will receive friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2020, in the funeral home with Pastor Chris Marlin-Warfield officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery DeWitt.
