April 12, 1957 - March 26, 2026
Randall "Randy" Louis Brodersen, 74, passed away peacefully at his home on March 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of his beloved wife and children. A man of boundless energy and a relentless work ethic, Randy's life was defined by a curiosity that allowed him to master nearly anything he put his mind to.
On Sunday, March 29, 2026, a visitation will be held to honor Randy from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. This will be followed by a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. On March 30, 2026, an additional visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Saint Joan of Arc Catholic School.
Randy leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Marian Brodersen; children, Chad (Vicki) Brodersen, Stephanie (Joshua) Hemberger, and Vincent (Lori) Brodersen; grandchildren, Devin, Reid, Ella, Clara, Grady, Asher, Evangeline, and Myles; siblings, Roberta, Brian, and Nancy; many nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

I am so sorry to hear about Randy. I met him when I worked at the Y in Bettendorf. We had a battle every day to see who checked him in on the card reader. Him or me. I was supposed to, but he would try and sneak in and do it himself. I laughed my tail off because one day he must have crawled through the door up to the counter where he magically appeared. I really looked forward to seeing him every day when I worked there.
