Richard "Dick" A. Reynolds

Richard "Dick" A. Reynolds, 74, of Rockford, IL passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022. He was born on February 9, 1948, in Morrison, IL, the son of Kenneth and Gladys (Bachman) Reynolds. Dick was always known as a hard worker and spent his career in grocery management primarily at Eagle Foods, followed by Walmart and Schnuck's. When he lived in Clinton, Iowa, Richard was a member of The Loyal Order of the Moose where he enjoyed taking his wife, grandchildren, and father-in-law to Hamburger Night. Dick was a loyal and life-long St. Louis Cardinals fan and was proud to tell how he was in attendance at the Cubs vs. Cardinals game on May 13, 1958 when his favorite player, Stan Musial got his 3,000th hit. He also enjoyed his daily crossword puzzles, playing golf, and taking trips to Las Vegas to play slots. Dick was a loving husband and father. On November 1, 1969, he married Margaret Leytem in Sterling, Illinois, which ended in divorce. After working together for Eagle Foods for many years, Dick and Pamela Shaff were married on February 26, 1996, in Las Vegas, their favorite vacation destination. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Pam; children, Marc (Tina) Reynolds, Brad (Mandy) Reynolds, Erin Reynolds, Andrew (Erin) Schroeder and Korine Kilgore; grandchildren, Mike, Tony, Jeff, Alyssa, Marc Avery, Brendan, Catie, Dawn, Christian, Jessica, Cole, Isabelle, Emmy, Bradlee, Ashton and Beckett, and 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Kenny Reynolds, and sister Barb Folsom. Special thank you to the staff at DaVita Churchview Dialysis. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, 61108. Visitation will take place prior to the service starting at 10:00 am. Burial to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family. Share online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.

Dick and I worked at Eagles. I remember when I was training him to make donuts and he broke the mixer paddle. We laughed so hard we were crying!!! Many good times with Dick at work. My sympathy for his entire family. He was a great guy who will be missed greatly. Sue Bigwood
