DAVENPORT-Rose "Bea" Marie Matkovich, 67, of Davenport, Iowa passed away on July 5, 2021 at her home. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday July 9, 2021 at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to PanCAN.org. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com. There will be a livestream of the service on the Weerts Funeral Home Facebook Page beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Rose was born on December 28, 1953 in Davenport, Iowa to Walter and Joyce (Sweeney) Hueser. She graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1971 where she met her longtime love, Jim. She was united in marriage to Jim Matkovich on June 30, 1972 in Davenport, Iowa. Rose worked at Slagles Grocery Store as a Supervisor and retired after 30 years. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. In her free time, Rose took up crocheting and delighted in bowling and gambling at the casino. She enjoyed her daily walks and loved to spend time with her grandchildren whom she loved fondly.
Survivors include her loving husband, Jim; children, Lisa (Doug) Berry and Stacey (Tyler) Swan; grandchildren, Sydney, Abbey and Sterling; sisters, Kathy (John) Justin, Sandy (Gary) Hancock and Connie (Gary) Gadient and her mother, Joyce Hueser.
Rose was preceded in death by her father, Walter Hueser, and her brother, Mike Hueser.

Jim, I´m so sorry for your loss,I did not have the honor of meeting Rose, but everyone said she was a beautiful, and kind lady. My prayers go out to you and your family.
