Scott "Scotty" F. Geiger, 43, of Port Byron, IL, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Mercy One Genesis Medical Center in Silvis, IL. Services will be held Friday, April 18, 2025, at 10:00 am, at Gibson-Bode Funeral Home, Port Byron. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Rapids City, IL. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a college fund to be established for his son Kamden.

Scotty was born on November 13, 1981 in Davenport, IA, to Kristin "Kris" Geiger. He graduated from Riverdale High School in 2000. Scotty married Nichole Palmer on April 25, 2020 in Port Byron, IL. He worked as a service manager at Mutual Wheel in Milan, IL.

Scotty was a very devoted family man, and a friend to so many. He would do anything for anyone, and was well known for being a gentle giant. Scotty enjoyed making others laugh with his wonderful dad jokes. He also enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his dogs Butterscotch, Tot, and Max. Most importantly, Scotty loved spending time with his son Kamden, following all of his school activities and sports.

Scotty is survived by his wife, Nichole Palmer-Geiger; a son, Kamden Palmer; parents, Kris and Mike Kerr of Port Byron; grandparents, Fred (Pat) Geiger of Port Byron, and Ida Kerr of Cordova; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marty and Monia Palmer of Bettendorf, IA; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
