Susan (Sue) Kay Weih
CLINTON-Susan (Sue) Kay Weih, 77, of Clinton, IA peacefully passed away at her home, surrounded by her best friend and husband of 56 years and family. Sue lived her life in a humble way and in service to others, never wanting to have the focus on herself. While her impact on peoples' hearts is far reaching, we will honor the way she lived her life by sharing what she loved most versus all that she did.
Sue loved God; her faith unwavering until her passing. She loved her best friend and partner in life Lenny. Everyday was a good day with him by her side. She loved her children and their spouses whom she considered her own. They will work to pay forward all the grace and kindness she gave to them. She loved her grandkids with all of her being, watching with such pride and joy as they pursued their passions. She loved to touch the lives of others, through a listening ear, a caring note, volunteering of her gifts and always a plate of her famous chocolate chip cookies. Above all, she loved to love.
She is survived and adored by her husband Lenny, children Doug and Kristin Weih of Cedar Rapids, Jodi and Pat Reid of Eldridge, Lori Weih and Ben Wickum of Cedar Rapids, and Julie and Pat Lonergan of Clinton, and her grandchildren Anna, Matthew, Ryan, Emerson, Brennan, Jordan, Josiah, Maija, Elle, Liv, and Roe. She held close in her heart her siblings Mary (Curtis) Frick, Diane (Tom) Apel, and Wes (Cecilia) Ehrecke. She was preceded in death by her parents Warren and Rosemary Ehrecke and grandson Isaiah.
A Funeral Mass will be 11:00am, Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00-7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes. Additional visitation will be from 9:30am to the mass time Thursday at the church.
