Tammy Brentise Obituary
Tammy Sue Brentise
June 28, 1976 - September 27, 2025
Tammy Sue Brentise, age 49, of Davenport, left this world far too soon on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at MercyOne Medical Center. Services honoring Tammy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. She will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home.
Tammy was born on June 28, 1976, in Davenport, the daughter of Donald and Cindy (Carney) Brentise. She married Terry Pribble in Las Vegas in 1993, and though life took them on different paths, they remained connected through their children. For the past 15 years, she shared a loving partnership with David Carstens, with whom she built a life she loved. Tammy had a strong work ethic and a generous heart. She spent over two decades at Expeditors International, and most recently worked as Office Manager at Helzberg Jewelry.
Those who knew Tammy will remember her bright spirit. She loved gardening, floating in her backyard pool, online shopping sprees, and the thrill of the casino. Above all, she cherished her role as "Mimi" to her grandchildren, Peyton and Atlas-a role she embraced with love, pride, and delight. Tammy had a special way of making people feel seen, loved, and celebrated. She found true joy in giving gifts-not just things, but thoughtful reminders of how deeply she cared.
She is survived by her sons, Cody (Richie Paz) Pribble of Omaha, NE, and Zachary Pribble of Davenport; her partner, David Carstens; her parents, Donald (Kris) Brentise Sr. and Cindy (David Cain) Brentise, all of Davenport; her sister, Lisa (Shane) Strunk of Buffalo; her beloved grandchildren, Peyton and Atlas; her grandparents, Lee and Eloise Carney of Davenport; and her nieces, Savanah of Rushville, IL, and Mia of Buffalo.
Tammy now rests in peace, reunited with her brother, Todd Brentise; her grandfather, Floyd Brentise; and grandmother, Patricia Parker-loved ones who were waiting to welcome her home. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her spirit, her laughter, and her love will continue to live on in all of us who were lucky enough to know her.
