Timothy Huth Obituary

Timothy L. Huth

May 12, 1947 - June 23, 2025

Timothy L. Huth, 78, of Bettendorf, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025 surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness. Tim was known for his friendly nature and gentle spirit.

A celebration of Tim's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1809 Mississippi Boulevard in Bettendorf. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City in care of the family.

Tim was born on May 12, 1947 in Burlington, Iowa to Harold and Marilyn (Stoermer) Huth. He had fond memories of growing up with his sister Cheryl and cousins. Tim was a drummer throughout high school and junior college. He enjoyed classic cars and going to car shows. Tim graduated from Burlington High School in 1965. He went on to get his degree from the University of Iowa and was a loyal Hawkeye fan, proud to wear his alma mater's black and gold.

On July 20, 1968, Tim married his hometown sweetheart Patty Kamienski. The two built a beautiful life together, raising two daughters, Shelley and Lindsay, who were his pride and joy. Anyone who knew Tim knew that his family was the center of his world. He never ever missed an opportunity to support their activities or spend time with them. He was a sensitive and patient girl dad and a loving husband. Tim and Patty were about to celebrate their 57th wedding anniversary.

Tim spent 32 years of his career as a Computer Systems Analyst at Deere & Company in Moline, Illinois. In retirement, he enjoyed getting out in the fields with John Deere equipment. Tim and Patty loved cross-country road trips, adventures to national parks, traveling to visit family and friends, and going to concerts and sporting events. He loved being a grandpa, cheering on his grandsons and supporting their interests and talents.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marilyn Huth. Left to carry on his memory are his wife, Patty; his daughters, Shelley (Michael) Ward and Lindsay Huth; grandsons, Parker and Wesley Ward; sister, Cheryl (Mark) Lieurance; his extended family, and many treasured friends. He was a devoted husband, loving father and father-in-law, adoring grandfather, and a loyal friend and brother.

Tim will be remembered for his kind heart and quiet strength that made others feel safe and loved in his presence. His legacy of warmth and goodness will live on in the hearts of all those who knew him.
