Walter Paul Bergeron entered this world peacefully on September 13, 2024, the son of Nicholas P. and Trisha E. (Dhuet) Bergeron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Walter at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2024 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Davenport. There will be a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass in the gathering space at St. Paul's. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, New Iberia, Louisiana. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Women's Choice Center or the Brayden Buntemeyer Fund through the Genesis Foundation.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Nicholas and Trisha Bergeron, Davenport; siblings: Lilah and Pierre; grandparents, Brent and Becky Dhuet, Houma, Louisiana, and Bradley and Laurie Bergeron, Jeanerette, Louisiana; great-grandparents, Sally and Leland Crochet, Houma, Louisiana and Janice Bergeron, Rynella, Louisiana; aunts and uncles: Traci (Matt) Haines, Houma, Louisiana and Kasey and Corey Broussard, Catahoula, Louisiana; cousins: Liam, Taylor, C.J.,Camryn, Tristyn, Kenadie, Paisley, and Phoenix, and his Godmother, Caroline Evans, and many more loving family members.
