Wayne was born on February 27, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Elmer and Marcella (Roling) Wilming. On June 20, 1959, in Fort Knox, Ky., he was united in marriage to Judith A. Thormann. They have enjoyed 66 years of marriage. Wayne served his country in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962. While in the Army, he was stationed in Germany with his younger brother, met his lifelong best friend and had his eldest son. After the Army, he worked at Alcoa for 30 years as a machine operator retiring in 1997. Post-retirement, he enjoyed a number of years as a groundskeeper at Duck Creek Park.

Wayne also enjoyed woodworking, being outdoors, eating at McDonald's and spending time with family and friends. He was a dedicated, loving and compassionate man. He especially enjoyed attending car shows and all the adventures he had while traveling with the Hot Rod Power Tour.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy; sons, Rodger (Renée) Wilming, and Mark (Amy) Wilming; grandsons, Andrew Wilming and Michael Wilming; and siblings, Harold Wilming and Jane Plantz.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Nick Wilming, Mary K. Martin, Diane Brekke, Susie Boyce and Bonnie Hughes.
