DAVENPORT-Yseciel (Dan) Ramirez, 76, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, July 14th, 2022, at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport, surrounded by his loving family.
Yseciel (Dan) Ramirez was born April 9th, 1946, in Harlingen, Texas, the son of Graciano and Antonia (Romero) Ramirez. He was united in marriage to Judy Kay Leedom February 8th, 1963 in Davenport, Iowa. They were married for 59 years.
Dan retired from Navistar in 2010, where he had been employed for 46 years.
He enjoyed spending time on the computer, listening to music, playing lottery, going to the casino, and taking care of his lawn. He was most proud of his grandchildren & great-grandchildren. He loved watching video Snapchats of his great-grandchildren.
Dan was preceded in death by his son, Danny Allen Ramirez; parents, Graciano & Antonia Ramirez; sister, Maria Miller; and brothers, Paul Ramirez, Terry Ramirez and Ralph Ramirez.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Judy of Davenport, Iowa; son, John (Tricia) Ramirez of Oak Park, Illinois; daughters, Theresa (Dennis) Prestel of Columbus, Ohio, and Anne Maire Ramirez of Greenville, South Carolina; sisters, Norma Zamora and Carmen Ramirez of Bettendorf, Iowa; brothers, Carlos (Daphne) Ramirez and Graciano (Junior) Ramirez of Bettendorf, Iowa; sister-in-law, Colleen Shewry and Cathy Leedom of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Donna Leedom of Rock Island, Illinois; grandchildren, Caitlin (Will) Randerson of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Taylor Prestel of Columbus, Ohio, Alex Prestel of Columbus, Ohio, and Lucie Ramirez of Oak Park, Illinois; along with great-grandchildren, Paxton, Reese and Miles Randerson.
A graveside service will be held at 11am Wednesday, July 20th at Fairmount Cemetery in Davenport, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Jude Children's Research or The American Kidney Foundation. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.
