Tranquillo Joseph Lucca

TRANQUILLO JOSEPH LUCCA Tranquillo Joseph Lucca died on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the Rainy Lake Medical Center in International Falls. He was born on March 8, 1927, in International Falls, the son of Antonio and Dorina (Pretto) Lucca. Tranquillo enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country honorably during World War II. He returned to International Falls and was united in marriage to Arlene Holm on November 9, 1946. She passed away at the age of 69. He then married Dorothy Begg who also preceded him in death. Tranquillo worked as a senior operator at Boise Cascade in International Falls. He was a faithful member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, and the International Falls VFW. Tranquillo was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Dorina; wives, Arlene and Dorothy; and brothers, Geno (Jeanette), Livio (Irene), and Augustine Lucca. Tranquillo is survived by his children: Randy (Diana) Lucca, Leslee Loop, Roberta (Bruce) Forsythe, Rick (Vicky) Lucca, Barb Christianson, Tim (Wendy) Lucca; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 on Monday, February 24 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. The family would like to thank the staff of Kempton Cottage and the comfort care Tranquillo received at the Rainy Lake Medical Center and Dr. Stone for all our dad's faith needs.
